We now live in a "knowledge economy". Insight and expertise have become valuable economic resources, and a platform for producing valuable consumer products today. Meanwhile, it's increasingly hard to make a career doing creative work. The ubiquity of free stuff on the Internet – from apps, to content, to connections – has created a value gap in how we perceive what art, information, and other creations are worth. In this talk, Aniyia explores the need for our society to adjust the way it views compensation for creators and the value they provide.
