Sunday: The ninth annual Letterpress Printers Fair offers an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and participate in some interactive printmaking experiments and browse an array of handcrafted goods. This one is well-suited for the entire family.
Monday: Roll into Monday afternoon with a tour of Adidas MakerLab , where you can explore and make your own t-shirt. Then step into an evening full of laughs and unfiltered feedback at the Voice of the Future: Gen Z Speaks event where kids will be critiquing the work of local designers and strategists.
Tuesday: Curious about how designers utilize the power of visual language to create change in our communities? Don’t miss An Open Conversation on Designing for Good, which builds on a “sold-out” event from last year, so don’t wait too long to register. Or, go a different direction and spend an hour with Pépé Le Moko at the How to Drink at a Bar. Round out your evening with Undesign: an Evening of Unexpected Results, a maker space and exhibition over at Wieden+Kennedy. There will be music, ephemera and other printed items, food for the bellies and drinks, of course.
Wednesday: Shift gears on hump day and learn about the role sound plays in narrative, brand experience, and new platforms like VR at Sound and Story, hosted by The PIA Agency. Then get a dose of altruism and inspiration in the afternoon at Hyperlocal Social Innovation with PSU & Design for America.
Thursday: Start at FORM with Advancing Sculpture for a presentation, Q&A and on-location tours. Then join Seriously, Memes, for an event exploring trends in brand to consumer interaction through the lens of pop culture’s preferred method of communication.
Friday: Double down with What the Cool Kids are Doing, a series of project presentations by design and art students from Oregon State University, and Portland Indie Game Squad's Drink N' Draw, where you'll be invited to make game-inspired art or participate in a competition of lightning-round artwork creation.
Saturday: Bookend your week with a song — and an interactive mural event. Marmoset will be enlisting your help to create a soundtrack by combining technology, sound design, and painting during Conduction.
