Plastic Sunshine is a full service brand experience agency, fluent in design, digital and activations for clients across fashion, retail, fine art, hospitality and entertainment. They are a creative agency built on the idea that great work comes from humans (clients, staff, and vendors alike) and that taking care of those humans is their biggest priority.
At their open house you'll have a chance to visit their space, meet their team, and take in a stunning view of the river and downtown from the top floor of the Fair-Haired Dumbbell building.
Read on for our Q&A with Plastic Sunshine to find out a little more about their open house and Design Week involvement.
DWP: You've been busy curating the space for our Opening Party experience! What has that process been like?
Plastic Sunshine: We’re really excited about the Opening Party and the process has been inspiring. We love collaborations and this project has brought together so many talented partners. Plus, big shoutout to Rachel and Tsilli! They’ve been so great to work with and were really supportive of our ideas from the beginning.
DWP: Plastic Sunshine was founded in 2017. What's your origin story?
Plastic Sunshine: After years of experience with companies including JDK, Adidas, happylucky, SET and more, we decided to create a different type of agency. Our focus is putting humans at the center of everything we care about and do.
DWP: Could you tell us a little about the work you do, or projects you are looking forward to working on?
Plastic Sunshine: We look for projects and clients that are searching for inspiring ideas forged in a hyper collaborative environment. We call ourselves an end to end creative agency and we’re very comfortable with strategy, branding, packaging, photo & video, content creation, environments and producing experiences. It’s a lot, but its really the multiplier effect of all our collective experiences.
DWP: What can folks expect from your open house?
Plastic Sunshine: We’re up on the 6th floor of the Dumbbell building and we’ve got some pretty fantastic views of the city. We’ll be soaking up the sunshine, cheersing our wine from Free Public, and enjoying meeting new people. Hopefully, you’ll stop by and say hi!
