Midcentury Stunner

This 1952 midcentury ranch home in NE Portland's Sabin neighborhood was re-imagined and brought into the 21st century, from peak to footing by Arciform. It has a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, and the owners are fantastic hosts and modern furniture and art collectors. There are several key décor elements that were created for the home by local artists Alisa Looney and Tom Cramer.

The roof structure was changed from a simple gabled roof to a single-pitch shed roof to elevate the windows facing west overlooking Portland. The main level is lively and full of color, from the turquoise, textured living room wall set off by a black gyro focus fireplace, to the tiled master bath with a beachy vibe to the view of Portland from the new, stunning deck. The kitchen was previously updated, and the floor plan is predominantly original.

The daylight lower level has a light-filled family room which is open to the new funky kitchenette/ office/ bar. The family room has a rock fireplace and a wall of large windows and door to the back yard, giving the room a view and lots of natural light. The lower level guest room opens onto a patio and the private garden/backyard, and a new guest bathroom and updated workout studio.
